PHOTOS: Alleged Subaru WRX STI S207 Leaked

The Subaru STI has had a long tradition of adding more performance in the already potent STI. As this spy shot shows, it would appear that the current generation will receive the same treatment as well. Finished in Subaru's distinct shade of yellow, this particular STI appears to be an S207 model.

According to the source, the reason why this special Subaru is on a plane is because it was picked up from Japan and delivered all the way to Dubai. The pilot then took the opportunity to snap a photo of the S207. Like its predecessor, the STI S206 and S206, the S207 is finished in Sunrise Yellow and comes with a more aggressive rear wing spoiler. The car also gets a rear diffuser and an STI plaque in the front chin spoiler.

There are no further details at the time of writing but power and handling upgrades are expected. It is also likely the S207 will be limited to around 300 cars only, just like the S206.
The STI S series began as early as the first generation WRX STI with the S201. Since then, every generation of STI and its facelifts have been receiving the S treatment with upgrades in power and handling above the standard STI models. The previous model, the S206, got a 3 % increase in power and an 18% rise in torque. With a new generation out, it is possible that the new S207 will get even higher power and torque increases.
